MAGIT claims the title of the Ambassador of Polish Economy!


June 4th, 2009. The Ambassador of Polish Economy is a prestigious title awarded to Polish entrepreneurs and companies that are successful on international markets. The competition is organized by Business Centre Club under the honorary auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The jury awarded prizes in four categories: Exporter, Partner of Foreign Companies, European Brand and 21st Century Solutions. MAGIT won the award in the Exporter category.

The aim of the competition is to increase visibility of companies which create and use the best business practices in their international activities. The Ambassador for the Polish Economy initiative is also meant to support the promotion of Poland and Polish companies on the international arena and to help tighten cooperation between Polish entrepreneurs and Polish institutions responsible for the promotion of Poland and the Polish economy.

MAGIT has been awarded the title for the following reasons:

  • we offer comprehensive software localization services as well as translations of technical documentation,
  • we employ various CAT and quality assurance tools as well as an advanced project management system,
  • we manage projects in cooperation with Eastern European and Scandinavian partner companies,
  • we have gained major clients on the German market,
  • we collaborate on a regular basis with our long-term customers, e.g. from the US, Canada and Ireland,
  • we have actively taken part in international events related to localization and translation.
The awards ceremony took take place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Palace in Warsaw on June 2nd, 2009. On behalf of MAGIT the prize was received by Grzegorz Wójcik, vice-president, head of localization and translation department.

MAGIT among finalists of "Huzar Europy" contest


Wroclaw - April 1, 2004. We are pleased to inform that MAGIT, localization service provider based in Wroclaw, Poland, has been included among finalists of the second edition of the "Huzar Europy" contest. The event was organized by "Puls Biznesu", Poland's biggest business newspaper, and the popular Polish Radio Program 3 ("Trojka"). The goal of the contest was promotion of entrepreneurs who are apt representatives of Poland in European Union and have achieved success on EU market.

Wroclaw, Poland - March 23, 2001 - MAGIT won European Medal Award for its software localization services. The European Medal is granted by the European Integration Council (EIC), the main governmental administrative body responsible for the integration of Poland with the European Union, and Business Centre Club (BCC), the biggest Polish organization of employers. It is a sign of distinction for Polish companies whose products and services meet the EU quality standards. European Medal Award is a non-commercial, nationwide initiative aimed at promoting Polish high quality products and services, popularizing EU regulations and standards as well as encouraging Polish firms to compete with EU companies.

Within the framework of the service offered since 1995, the Localization Department of MAGIT cooperates directly with leading software producers and international companies specializing in localization projects and translations for IT industry. MAGIT prepared Polish language versions of products of such companies as Microsoft, Corel, 3Com, Lotus, Dell, Canon, HP, Lexmark and SPSS.

We are one of a few firms in Poland that are able to offer such complex and quality demanding services, and therefore we are very pleased to receive a sign of recognition in the form of European Medal Award." - said Grzegorz Wójcik, the director of Localization Department in MAGIT.

This year saw the second ceremony of granting European Medal for Services Award. Awards went to more that 200 firms. The ceremony featured the winners as well as the organizers of the competition: the Secretary of EIC, Jacek Saryusz Wolski and the chairman of BCC, Marek Goliszewski. The celebrities who handed the awards included a member of parliament Maciej Jankowski, President of Verification Board Jaroslaw Mulewicz, President of BCC Main Council Witold Zaraska and President of BCC Convention Andrzej Kubasiewicz.

The European Medal winners, apart from a bronze medal and a certificate, were granted a right to use the symbol of European Medal in their informational and marketing materials and to present it at fairs and shows.
